Day-to-day tasks include operating commercial washers and dryers, sorting and labeling laundry items, following infection control procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the laundry area. The role also involves monitoring supply levels, reporting equipment issues, and coordinating with nursing and housekeeping staff to meet resident needs. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lakeland, FL, and may require weekend or holiday shifts to support continuous facility operations.\nQualifications\n\n\n Ability to adhere to rehabilitation and inpatient care standards, supporting a clean and safe environment for residents.\n Understanding of basic healthcare and medicine-related cleanliness and infection control practices within a nursing home setting.\n Awareness of occupational therapy and physical therapy needs as they relate to residents’ comfort, privacy, and timely access to clean linens.\n Previous experience in laundry services, housekeeping, or environmental services in healthcare or similar settings preferred.\n Ability to lift, carry, and move laundry bags and carts; stand and walk for extended periods.\n Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.\n Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff.\n High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to complete facility training and follow all safety and compliance guidelines.\n
