Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: November 30, 2026
Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend coverage
High-acuity, fast-paced progressive care environment with a 1:3 patient ratio
Work with diverse patient diagnoses including respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, and complex medical conditions
Utilize Epic electronic medical record system with 24 hours of orientation provided
Gain experience with advanced skills including conscious sedation, stable vents, high-flow nasal cannula, and telemetry monitoring
Comprehensive interdisciplinary team support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and social services
May float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
Active Ohio RN license or valid compact state license
Minimum 2 years of recent progressive care or step-down nursing experience
Epic charting experience required
Proficiency in conscious sedation, ventilator management, and telemetry interpretation
Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, dysrhythmia management, vasoactive drip titration, and insulin drip titration
Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon contract signing
