Custodian Evenings Full-time

Custodial Workers are involved in routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. This includes using custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment and may involve the moving and lifting of heavy furniture. Work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to meet standards of cleanliness. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

General Cleaning: Perform basic cleaning of resident rooms, facility offices, and public spaces
Surface Care: Clean, polish, and sanitize handrails, fixtures, floors, walls, and windows
Waste Handling: Safely collect and properly dispose of trash, recyclable materials, and infectious waste
Supply Stocking: Restock soap, paper products, cleaning chemicals, and related supplies
Teamwork Assistance: Help move furniture, clear and clean debris, and remove snow
Follow safety guidelines and product instructions, use protective equipment, and report hazards
Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) Sunday – Thursday with Friday and Saturday off, and a 30-minute lunch.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person (Experience might include such things as cleaning restrooms; cleaning resident rooms, offices, or public areas; Work experience in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital
Work experience interacting with patients or residents while cleaning in patient or resident rooms or a dining room setting
Work experience cleaning bodily fluids and disposing infectious waste into proper storage areas
Work experience removing snow, trash, and debris from sidewalks and entrance ways
Work experience using and mixing chemicals or solvents
Work experience using manual or power equipment to mop, scrub, sweep, strip, wax, and buff floors
Custodial work experience in one of the following environments: activity or recreation room, bathroom, shower or bathing room, cafeteria or dining room, entranceway, lobby, common space, nursing station, patient or resident rooms, pharmacy, physical therapy rooms Legal Requirements:
