We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or CMA to join our growing pulmonology clinic in Waukee, Iowa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and expanding specialty practice focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As our clinic continues to grow, the LPN will play a key role in supporting providers with patient assessments, chronic disease management, in-office procedures, and patient education for individuals with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting where building strong patient relationships and contributing to a developing team are central to success.

*We would consider an experienced CMA in this position if you have Pulmonology experience or other related specialty clinical work history!!

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures

Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)

Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure

Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care

Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

Valid and current licensure/certification in the state of Iowa:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Iowa Board of Nursing

OR CMA - Certified Medical Assistant

Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred

Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
