Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charleston, West Virginia. Applicants must have worked in this unit or setting within the past year to be considered for this position. Job Title Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown Location Charleston, WV | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with every other weekend required | Full-Time Key Responsibilities Provide intermediate care nursing for a variety of medical patients including those with respiratory conditions, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant needs, and interventional neurological presentations Manage telemetry patients with medical and surgical needs as well as the renal population across an 8-bed IMC unit and 10-bed observation unit Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and provide ventilator management as required Maintain patient ratios of 3:1 for IMCU and 4:1 for medical/surgical assignments Float within scope to meet facility needs when required Document accurately using Cerner electronic health records system Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Minimum 1 year of in-specialty IMC, PCU, or Stepdown experience required Active WV or Compact RN License required to start (pending license accepted at time of submission) BLS and ACLS certifications required - must be through the American Heart Association (AHA) Strong IMC and/or ICU clinical skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and ventilator management Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 - March 31); medical exemptions with documented allergist or physician record will be considered Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis Preferred Experience / Skills Experience caring for renal and post-operative kidney transplant patients Background in ICU-level care or step-down environments Familiarity with Cerner charting platform Comfort with block scheduling and flexible shift arrangements Why Join Us Opportunity to work at a Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 855 staffed beds, offering a high-acuity, clinically diverse environment Complimentary parking available for travelers and expected 36 or 48 hours per week with schedule options available to discuss Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792517.
