WELDER (Remote)
Centerline Logistics Corporation
Welding, along with general maintenance and repair on boats and barges at shop facility as required.
Welding for general maintenance.
Assist in yard facility maintenance.
Proficient in the use and knowledge of various welding practices.
Able to read blueprints and to fit up and weld projects with little to no supervision.
Maintain the shop welding area clean and properly stocked with consumables.
Must be physically fit enough to board barges and tugs at sea and in port.
Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over the telephone.
Ability to get along with office staff and vessel crewmembers.
Valid Washington State drivers' license and the ability to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of hire.
Required to work aboard boats and barges using pike poles, heavy lines, winches, mechanical tools for repairs.
Frequently required to board tugs, barges, and ships, at dock or at anchor in all weather conditions and at all hours, and in remote locations.
Normal office hours are 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Takes communications 24 hours a day, including weekends, concerning vessel maintenance, repair, and operations.
