Nursing - Travel L&D RN

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Hanford, CA. Travel - temporary assignment for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Weekly pay: $2,444–$2,551 per week

Deliver direct nursing care to obstetric patients and newborns using the nursing process and established standards of care.

• Monitor labor progress, fetal status, administer medications, and respond to obstetric emergencies with clinical judgment and timely intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team; supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff.
• Document care and outcomes in the electronic medical record; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, healing environment; uphold infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide education to patients and families and support team learning through shifts and handoffs.

Current RN license in California (state of practice) is required.

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in obstetric or acute care settings.
• ACLS and NRP certifications required (per policy).
• EPIC and Cerner EMR experience is preferred/strongly recommended; prior backfill experience with EPIC is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric/acute care environment and to participate in a 24/7 hospital setting.
