Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring adherence to established standards and patient safety protocols. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collects and evaluates patient assessment data to identify healthcare needs.
• Develops and implements patient care plans with clearly defined interventions and expected outcomes.
• Coordinates and administers nursing care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Educates patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Delegates responsibilities to nursing team members and supervises their performance.
• Participates in discharge planning and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience in an acute care or medical-surgical setting preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
