Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
• Collect relevant data, assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, supervise nursing staff at multiple levels, and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Document care activities in the electronic medical record and communicate health information clearly to patients, families, and the treatment team; experience with EPIC and Cerner is required.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide patient and family education to support safe transitions.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in California (or state of practice) current and in good standing.
• Minimum two years of recent acute care Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; CPR/BLS as required by policy.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and Cerner electronic medical record systems.
• Vaccinations required as a condition of employment per organizational policy; able to work night shifts.
