Emergency Department RN – Emergency Nursing
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36/40/48 per week
Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required (1.5 years may be considered).
Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred.
Travel experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers may be considered with 2+ years of Level I experience.
TNCC certification must be completed prior to submission.
Current NM license may be pending at time of submission.
Required certifications: TNCC (prior to submission), ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH (NIH certification may pend until compliance document due date).
Key clinical skills: trauma/resuscitation, triage, IV/central/arterial line care, ventilator care, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, medication administration/documentation.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on clinical urgency.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and interventions in the electronic medical record.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
Compliance / Notes:

Compliance documents due date typically 10 days prior to start; begin compliance within 1–2 weeks of signing.
Drug screen required within 30 days of start.
Maximum of 7 days off preferred; more than 7 days requires approval. No time off during first 7 days or final day of contract.
No local clinicians within 100-mile radius.
Break rule: 6-month break required after 4 consecutive assignments or reaching 1 year.
COVID-19 vaccination not required; flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).
Overtime requires prior approval from the client.
