Production Baker (Full-Time/Hourly)

At Frenchette Bakery at The Whitney Museum , we are passionate about producing high-quality breads, viennoisserie, and pastries with consistency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Full-Time Baker to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and laminated products according to bakery standards

Scale, mix, shape, proof, and bake a variety of doughs and pastries

Follow production schedules and recipes with accuracy and consistency

Maintain organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards throughout the workspace

Assist with daily prep and station setup/breakdown

Monitor product quality and communicate any production issues to management

Work collaboratively with the pastry and savory teams in a fast-paced environment

Help maintain inventory and notify management of low stock when needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of professional bakery experience required

Passion for artisan baking and attention to detail

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Flexible availability, including weekends and early mornings (3-4AM Start Times)

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
