Registered Nurse Full Time School Health Nurse

Qualifications: Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement (CSN)
Certified School Nurse (CSN) credentials, or registered nurse (RN) with school-based nursing experience
Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with students in grades Pre-K and 6-8
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with staff, families, and students
Ability to manage confidential information and uphold the highest ethical standards in student health services
Responsibilities: Provide direct care and first aid to Pre-K and middle school students experiencing illness or injury during the school day
Administer medications and perform health procedures in accordance with care plans and physician orders
Conduct health screenings and immunization compliance as required by state guidelines
Collaborate with educators, families, and community services to advocate for students' physical and emotional health needs
Maintain accurate health records and proactively address communicable disease management within the school setting
Educate students and staff on health and wellness, fostering a health-conscious school culture
You’ll work a consistent full-time schedule from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm beginning August 19 and concluding June 10, supporting several schools and grade levels for a dynamic, engaging experience.
