Job Description AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect for our Carolinas group, reporting to the Charleston, SC team, to support advanced manufacturing and federal project types. This role provides architectural guidance, design development, and production support across a range of project delivery methods, working closely with senior staff and project teams from concept through construction administration. AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.

Our Carolinas B+P teams focus on providing design services in the Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics market, including logistics centers and industrial facilities, while also supporting a wide range of project types across the federal and private sectors.

This position is responsible for initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects, in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project's discipline leaders.

Providing architectural guidance, calculations, specifications, analysis, studies, and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project

May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades

Design and production work, including architectural detailing through construction documents, using Revit

Perform field verification and travel to project sites as needed (less than 10%)

Perform QA/QC reviews when assigned

Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

Experience with design solution development, building systems and detailing, applicable codes and life safety requirements, differing building types and project delivery methods, and programming and planning methods

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a United States Citizen

Experience on federal projects with knowledge of the UFC and UFGS

Master of Architecture

Security clearance
