Head of HR Operations and Payroll

Director, Human Resources Operations - San Antonio, Texas
Executive-level visibility with direct partnership to CHRO/COO and senior leadership
Oversight of enterprise HR, payroll, HRIS, and internal IT in a complex 900-employee environment
Opportunity to drive multi-state HR strategy, compliance, and scalable process improvements
Competitive compensation ($130K-$180K+), bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits
Lead HR operations across multi-state locations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalability
Oversee payroll operations, audits, and multi-state tax compliance in partnership with Finance
Provide executive guidance on employee relations, investigations, and performance management
Drive HRIS optimization, reporting, automation, and technology initiatives across the organization
Partner with IT to oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business continuity strategies
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years progressive HR leadership experience, including HR operations and payroll oversight
3-5+ years managing teams across multi-site and multi-state environments (500+ employees)
Proven experience leading HRIS platforms, compliance initiatives, and process improvements
Experience in multifamily real estate, property management, or related industries
Exposure to acquisitions, integrations, or enterprise technology projects
