Paralegal Estate Law

A prominent law firm in the heart of Chicago is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal. Key Responsibilities of the Real Estate Paralegal:
Prepare, review, and organize documentation related to real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, and closing binders.
Manage due diligence processes, including tracking and compiling necessary materials for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing matters.
Review and summarize title work, surveys, and UCC searches; assist with drafting objection or clarification correspondence.
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, and other parties to ensure efficient and timely closings.
Prepare closing checklists and manage pre-closing and post-closing tasks.
Assist with entity formation and maintenance for real estate matters, including obtaining EINs and certificates of good standing.
Provide general support throughout all phases of commercial real estate transactions.

Qualifications of the Real Estate Paralegal:
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program.
At least six years of substantial commercial real estate paralegal experience gained in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational ability, and effective time-management skills.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Notary Public certification.
Familiarity with property recording practices, municipal procedures, and related regulatory steps.
