ICU Charge NurseWe are seeking an ICU Charge Nurse. The ICU Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and operations within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). They will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, promote a positive work environment, and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Shift's Available: DaysEmployment Type: Full TimeHours: 12hrLocation: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TXHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction to the nursing staff in the ICU.Ensure that patients in the ICU receive high-quality, safe, and effective care, you will also monitor patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes to ensure adherence to standards of practice and protocolsDistribute resources, encompass staffing, equipment, and supplies, to fulfill the requirements of patients and staff, proactively identify and resolve any challenges pertaining to resource availability or usageCoordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of ICU patientsServe as an advocate for patients and families, ensure their needs, preferences, and concerns are addressed, push for patient safety, quality of care, and adherence to ethical principlesParticipate in quality improvement activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standardsProvide guidance, education, and mentorship to nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit, facilitate ongoing professional development through training, continuing education opportunities, and performance feedbackQualificationsCurrent and valid state RN License.Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, preferred.Minimum of one year staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; Critical Care setting preferred.CCRN (AACN) within 2 years of hire, preferred.Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.Employment StatusFull TimeEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
