Head of Project Management (Construction)

Construction management, 5 years (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture or equivalent

Preferred – 5 years of experience in ground up construction, multi-story ground ups, tilt wall, strip centers, storage facilities and office complex construction

Must be familiar with Procore or other construction management software

Must have positive attitude, be willing to enforce company policies and support a strong culture of teamwork and accountability

Job Duties Bid new project opportunities by coordinating efforts with estimators, project coordinators and interns on the team

Review contract and contract documents and coordinate the team with specific needs to complete all tasks

Work with estimating team to ensure job cost is set up in accordance with requirement of the project

Manage all financials, staying within budget and industry standards for profit margin

Manage all required to attain approvals for payment applications

Monitor and manage outstanding owner change orders and change order requests

Complete weekly construction schedules and ensure appropriate milestones are set and owner’s goals are met

Communicate effectively with customers, superintendents, and sub-contractors

Review and understand all construction documents to ensure conformance with budget, schedule, and prime contract

Direct project closeout process to ensure that all contractual obligations are met within the timeframes outlined

Identify and anticipate potential issues and mitigate any risks to project completion

Prepare and publish documentation and project notes in a timely manner

Maintain and strengthen national client and subcontractor relationships to secure future opportunities and long-lasting, collaborative relationships
