Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

As a Service Center Operations Supervisor at Ryerson, you will be responsible for directing the efficient function of plant operations including but not limited to production equipment, shipping, receiving and inventory.
Facilities problem solving and team building activities
Participates in Performance Management Process (PMP)
Carries out and supports company policies, goals and objectives
Understands quality goals and implements actions necessary to meet goals and ISO 9000 standards
Review plant supply inventory and advise purchasing when levels are low
Ensure training is effectively carried out and oversee completion of training checklists
Communicates with other departments within the facility, as well as other locations
Understand customer requirements, participates, and advise on decisions regarding suitability of material and processing equipment
Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; High School Diploma / GED is required; Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
The successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in SAP as part of their role. Prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in SAP is essential
