Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical needs. The role focuses on patient assessment, evidence-based interventions, safe medication administration, and effective coordination of care across the care team.
Assess patients' health status, symptoms, and vital signs to identify changes and clinical priorities.
Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for therapeutic response and adverse effects.
Implement individualized care plans and document nursing care accurately in real time.
Manage post-operative and chronic condition workflows, including wound care and patient education.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely care.
Maintain infection prevention practices and uphold patient safety standards.
Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Demonstrate strong medical-surgical nursing competency with solid assessment and critical thinking skills.
ACLS preferred or as required by unit standards.
Provide safe medication administration skills and knowledge of nursing documentation standards.
Exhibit proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical workflow tools.
Grow clinical expertise through mentorship, ongoing training, and evidence-based practice resources.
Build advanced competence in post-acute, inpatient, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
