Job Description

Medical Laboratory Technician – Hematology (Contract)

Location: Detroit, MI – On site (no remote)

Contract Length: 13 weeks (3+ months)

Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens.

Performs manual techniques and utilizes laboratory instruments and information systems.

Qualifications

Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.

Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).

Minimum 2–3 years of previous experience in a similar role.

Experience with urinalysis, coagulation testing, and manual differentials.

Experience with Beckman Coulter or Stago equipment (DXU system preference). Sunquest LIS experience preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively and technical proficiency with laboratory functions.

Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 for a 13 week contract.
