Position Summary: The Technical Buyer, within the Operations department, serves as a key link between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and the suppliers. This role translates technical requirements and procurement objectives into effective sourcing and purchasing actions that support operational efficiency, cost control, and supply chain reliability. The position operates in a high‑tech OEM manufacturing environment characterized by complex products, stringent quality standards, and long lead times, contributing to the continued professionalization and overall performance of the supply chain.

Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers, including performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Drive supplier performance improvements through close collaboration with Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Quality to achieve optimal technical and commercial outcomes.

Analyze market trends and supplier data to support strategic procurement decisions.

Ensure accurate and reliable data management within the production control and ERP systems.

Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive supplier performance improvements and cost optimization.

Contribute to supplier development programs, process optimization efforts, and cross-functional improvement projects.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow safety procedures, work instructions, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and product testing and qualification.

Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with experience using inspection tools and measurement gauges.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Working knowledge of ISO 9001-based Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline; Experience in high‑tech, semiconductor, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing environments is preferred.
