Kingstonville is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our team. This is candidate will be responsible for prosecuting violations of federal law in Connecticut and provide a variety of direct legal support assistance services to support our client.
Examines, prepares and processes a variety of legal documents.
Provides assistance to attorneys in trial preparation.
Receives visitors and telephone callers.
Receives, copies and delivers a variety of legal documents to U.Obligates funds for litigation expenses and monitors for continued necessity.
Reviews bills and invoices and submits to budget office for payment.
Produces a variety of written documents and materials utilizing a wide range of office software applications.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Prior experience in the legal field is a plus, but not required. Successful applicants will possess a strong interest in the law and public service.
Excellent customer service and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
A Bachelors’ Degree is a plus, but not a requirement.
Must be able to work 40 hours per week, excluding Federal Holidays.
