Litigation Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience to join their team in New Haven, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in state and federal courts in Connecticut and/or Massachusetts, with a preference for intellectual property litigation experience. Duties Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs. Take and defend depositions. Attend court conferences and hearings. Argue motions and conduct legal research. Prepare and respond to discovery requests. Manage day-to-day case activities. Participate in trial preparation. Requirements 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience. Interest in intellectual property litigation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong technical, professional, and client service skills. Team-oriented with collaborative skills. Effective problem-solving abilities. Admission to practice law in Connecticut or Massachusetts, or ability to become admitted (dual admission is a plus). Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admission to the Bar in Connecticut or Massachusetts. Skills Strong advocacy and communication skills. Ability to work independently and proactively. Creative problem-solving skills.
