POSITION PURPOSEThe Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a strategic executive responsible for leading PDI's information technology strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, data governance, and technology-enabled business capabilities. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CIO partners across the organization to leverage technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to drive business growth, operational excellence, innovation, and regulatory compliance.The CIO provides leadership for all information technology operations, including the company's ERP platform, infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, manufacturing and quality systems, business intelligence, and end-user support. This role ensures the reliability, security, scalability, and compliance of technology solutions supporting an FDA- and EPA-regulated manufacturing environment while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIESDevelop and execute the enterprise IT and digital transformation strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives while delivering technology solutions that support functional and departmental priorities.Lead all technology operations, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, enterprise applications, ERP, data analytics, and end-user support.Evaluate, implement, and govern Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, decision-making, operational efficiency, and customer experience.Establish IT governance, policies, standards, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure effective, secure, and compliant technology operations.Lead IT strategic and operational planning by prioritizing technology initiatives and overseeing the evaluation, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise systems.Develop and maintain an organizational structure that supports current and future business needs, recommending improvements as the organization evolves.Lead the recruitment, development, performance management, and retention of IT team members in alignment with corporate objectives and budget.Establish and maintain effective controls, governance, and security for enterprise information systems.Direct the development, testing, and execution of the organization's disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity programs.Develop and manage the IT operating and capital budgets, ensuring cost-effective investments in technology, staffing, infrastructure, and vendor services.Negotiate and manage technology vendor relationships, software licensing, hardware acquisitions, maintenance agreements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.Monitor technology trends, emerging solutions, and industry best practices, advising executive leadership on opportunities, risks, and competitive advantages.Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, technology vendors, and strategic business partners to support organizational objectives.PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTSAchievement of strategic BT and digital transformation objectives.Successful ERP performance, implementation, and optimization.System availability, cybersecurity posture, and business continuity readiness.Regulatory system compliance and successful audit outcomes.Business partner satisfaction and adoption of technology solutions, including AI-enabled capabilities.IT budget management and operational efficiency.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGEDeep expertise with one or more enterprise manufacturing ERP platforms, MS D365 preferredFDA Quality System requirements and regulated manufacturing environments21 CFR Part 11Computer System Validation (CSV) / Computer Software Assurance (CSA)GxP and data integrity principlesCybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or Microsoft ecosystem)Business intelligence and analytics platformsNetwork, infrastructure, and identity/access management architectureDisaster recovery and business continuity planningEXPERIENCE REQUIREDMinimum 15 years of progressive information technology leadership experience.Experience supporting FDA/EPA regulated manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer products, or other highly regulated industries required.Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.Experience supporting EPA-regulated operations, environmental reporting systems, or regulated manufacturing compliance preferred.Experience with quality systems, regulatory systems, manufacturing execution, supply chain, and finance integrations.Proven leadership of cybersecurity, cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise application portfolios.SKILLS/ABILITIESStrategic enterprise leadershipBusiness and financial acumenExecutive communication and influenceAbility to function autonomouslyChange leadership and digital transformationCross-functional collaborationRegulatory and quality mindsetRisk-based decision makingTalent development and organizational leadershipOperational excellence and continuous improvementHigh integrity and accountabilityWORKING CONDITIONSNo hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditionsSALARY RANGE:$285,000 -
