Role: Reporting directly to the Hospital Chief ExecutiveOfficer, as Chief Clinical Officer, you will serve as part of the executiveteam and will lead our nationally recognized clinical services . The ChiefClinical Officer leads the organization’s advancement in clinical excellenceand champions adoption of new technologies and evidence based practicesenhancing patient outcomes and patient care efficiencies. The Chief ClinicalOfficer partners with our renowned Columbia University physicians, executiveleadership, and clinical staff to foster innovation and align patient care,education, and quality outcomes. The Chief Clinical Officer oversees and leadsQuality Management, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, and Clinical Outcomeswith strong focus on patient volumes/census, goal achievement and deliverableobjectives. The Chief Clinical Officer drives initiatives for sustainedperformance growth in the Hospital’s patient census and overall Admissionsdepartment. The Chief Clinical Officer will also ensure hospital compliancewith Department of Health, Joint Commission, Commission on Accreditation ofRehabilitation Facilities, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and anyother regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Ten years of experience as an administrator of a staff or support area in a program providing direct comprehensive services for patients in a rehabilitation or acute care hospital, of which three years must have been at a supervisory level. Substitutions:

A qualifying college degree may substitute for the portion of the general experience as follows: associate’s, two years; bachelor’s, four years; and master’s, five years. Qualifying degrees include: business administration, accounting, nursing, health care administration, business education, marketing, economics, banking and finance, industrial engineering, mathematics, computer networking, commerce, public administration, and industrial management.

PreferredQualifications: Licensed clinician with a graduate degree in aclinical area, doctorate preferred. Board Certified in Healthcare Management asa Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). 12 years' of experience in healthcare services,and a proven record of accomplishment in health care environments, particularlyin the areas of operational excellence and improving performance. Provenclinical operations leader with a track record of driving clinical excellence,program growth, and operational success. Experience with InpatientRehabilitation Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility operations. Skilled atdelivering clinical excellence, program growth, quality improvements, andoperational success.

The posted salary range includes a downstate adjustment of $4,150.
