RESTAURANT COOK - EVENINGS

The Restaurant Cook assists main restaurant associates in maintaining high‑quality food items while keeping cost and profitability of inventory in mind. The cook controls daily and weekly inventories and performs kitchen tasks to ensure guests receive a high level of food and beverage service.

Maintain an active role in the smooth operation of retail restaurant operations by producing and coordinating the production of food items needed for daily menus and special events.

Control daily and weekly inventories.

Maintain team awareness of inventory cost and profitability through proper use of production, build‑to, and order sheets.

Check in with supervisor for any special preparation needed before starting normal kitchen tasks.

Perform job responsibilities normally associated with those of a cook, including:

Coordinate production of daily menu items using menu counts and production (or build‑to) sheets to help control waste.

Check inventory of all menus.

Communicate supply needs for production with head cook.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with health and sanitation standards.

Maintain equipment daily and report any malfunctions to a designated associate.

Maintain flow of food orders by communicating with associates promptly.

Uphold all health and sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, the local health department, and third‑party sanitization auditors.

High school diploma or GED.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Salary Range: $19.16 – $23.95 per hour (actual starting pay determined by location, experience, and other factors).
