Job Description
The Emergency Department is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-acuity environments and be able to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Administer medications and provide interventions for various common diagnoses, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac events.
Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Work with a variety of patients across the lifespan, effectively addressing their unique needs.
Participate in floating to different areas within the department as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
Current New York State RN license is required.
Current certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
Travel experience is required; candidates should provide documentation of prior travel assignments.
Skills checklist matching the specialty must be submitted.
Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
Driver's license with the address matching the demographic requirements is mandatory.
