Rehab PTA - Full Time

Position Overview Life Mission Nursing and Rehab is actively seeking a devoted and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Fremont, California. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a hospital setting, where you will play an essential role in helping patients regain their strength and independence following orthopedic procedures or chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

The successful candidate will work on-site in a state-of-the-art hospital facility, where patients benefit from modern equipment and comprehensive therapeutic programs. Our multidisciplinary team comprises experienced physical therapists and supportive staff, all committed to creating a nurturing atmosphere that promotes healing and wellness. You'll work a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
This may include guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, applying manual therapy techniques, and utilizing various physical modalities to enhance recovery.
Patient Monitoring: Observe and evaluate patients' progress during therapy, and make timely adjustments to treatment activities based on their feedback and clinical observations.
Empower patients by educating them about their conditions, proper body mechanics, and the importance and methods of performing rehabilitation exercises at home.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient treatments and progress, ensuring alignment with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist in Patient Mobility: Safely assist patients with transfers and movements to facilitate therapy sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Maintain Equipment: Keep all therapeutic equipment clean, well-maintained, and in optimal condition to support effective treatment delivery.
Collaborate with Therapists and Staff: Engage in open communication with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to formulate effective rehabilitation strategies and deliver high-quality patient care.
Provide Administrative Support: Assist with necessary clinic tasks, including patient scheduling and intake procedures, to ensure efficient clinic operations.
The PTA will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and various chronic conditions that affect mobility and quality of life. Each patient will have a unique rehabilitation journey, and your contributions will be crucial in helping them achieve their individualized goals and regain functionality.
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California or eligibility to obtain such a license.
Comprehensive understanding of therapeutic exercises and principles specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.
Ability to execute fundamental physical therapy procedures as directed by a supervising physical therapist.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, compassion, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
Two years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic or outpatient rehabilitation environment.
Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, is advantageous.
Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and scheduling.
