Job Overview A law firm seeks a litigation attorney in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive and self‑starting, with a passion for digging into facts, shaping strategy, and building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
Duties Manage diverse litigation cases from intake through resolution.
Own deadlines, strategy, and case progression.
Analyze title work and factual records to inform litigation strategy.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
Prepare for and conduct depositions and trials.
Appear in court as needed.
Communicate clearly and consistently with clients.
Prepare correspondence with courts, clients, and opposing counsel.
Assist with real estate transactions as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Requirements Active Kansas and Missouri bar licenses required.
Ideally at least 5 years of private practice experience.
Trial experience.
No book of business required.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications Bar admission in Kansas and Missouri.
Skills Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
