The Registrar is responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account information and verifies insurance coverage. Do you want to work as a Registrar where your passion for creating positive patient interactions is valued? Scheduling, registration and interview patients to obtain all accurate and necessary account information to include identification and insurance cards, financial responsibility, medical and educational needs, visit history, signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits and payment of services from legally responsible parties.
Explain policies regarding services, charges, insurance billing, and payment of your account.
Collect full or partial payment for services rendered according to collection policy for co-pays, deposits, deductibles and documents collections status in the system and chart.
Work with nursing staff for emergency medical needs, answering patient and visitor questions.
Prepare daily deposits and maintain the integrity of the cash drawer.
Produce paperwork on each patient for distribution to appropriate departments, home health care, nursing facilities, and physician offices.
Route admission documents and forms to appropriate departments.
High School Graduate / GED
~Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
