Manufacturing Company Estimator

HYBRID, 2-3 days/week from home**

***Our client, an industry leading manufacturing company who has been in business for over 125 years is looking for a Cost Accountant due to a recent promotion. Perform detailed manufacturing cost and financial analysis for the Finance Director, Directors of Operations, and site leadership as needed

Maintain and periodically review standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead standards

Prepare and review manufacturing-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support

Prepare and distribute inventory and operational finance reporting by location and product line

Participate in relevant site, product line, and operational review meetings and provide financial insight and analysis

Support forecasting and budget preparation for assigned locations, including labor, overhead, inventory, and manufacturing performance; analyze actual results against forecast and budget and provide clear commentary to Finance and Operations leadership

Provide strong coordination and financial oversight for annual physical inventory activities across assigned sites and product lines

Monitor cycle counts compliance, inventory accuracy, and adjustment activity; coordinate with site leaders to review results, identify concerns, and drive corrective action

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with site leaders, operations teams, and other key personnel and decision makers

Identify root causes of cost, inventory, and manufacturing variances; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting

Understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variances, and financial controls

Oracle experience preferred

Power BI or similar reporting and data visualization experience preferred

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
