Teaching Hospital: Yes, Academic Medical Center
Unit Information:
1 year of experience in Cardiology
Cardiac PCU – Acute Coronary Syndrome, Heart failure, NSTEMI/STEMI, Chest Pain r/o, post cardiac cath (PCI or without stent), post EP procedures – pacemaker insertion, ICD, ablation; RN: 1:4-5
CNA: Supports the RN by obtaining VS and blood glucose checks; assists with hourly safety rounds and ADLs
Charge nurse: may or may not have patient assignment
Phlebotomy? Yes, peripheral blood draws
Yes, available – will need to page for assistance when needed
Hospitalist 24/7
Intensivist 24/7
Telemetry monitoring/tech - nurses responsible for monitoring/verifying strips - once a shift

EMR: Epic
Unit specific equipment:
Within the cardiology division first, then to any med-surg unit within the hospital. Centralize telemetry.

#Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. RN - PCU
