The Cannabis Expungement Board is hiring a Paralegal to play a key role in executing the legal and procedural framework for determining eligibility for expungement of criminal records.

The position will assist the paralegal supervisors, attorneys, and managing attorneys to collect and manage case records, compile and review case files, and make determinations of eligibility for expungement of a criminal record or for resentencing.

Minimum Qualifications To be qualified for and considered for this position, ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Completion of a formal paralegal or legal assistant program resulting in certification or a degree OR One (1) year experience in a legal setting OR Completion of a bachelor's degree program

Experience managing data with software tools like Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, e-Discovery programs, or other database or case management programs

Experience or demonstrated commitment working with people impacted by the criminal justice system

Experience, education, or training with legal cases, laws, statutes, regulations, court rules, policies, procedures, legal authorities that are relevant to a particular issue

Experience reviewing investigative reports, files, and documents for legal cases

Experience, education, or training in preparing, editing, and finalizing legal documents, emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents free of errors and in proper format, including but not limited to: Experience collaborating with a legal team and external partners to meet business needs
