Registered Nurse (RN): Senior Clinic (Full Time)

Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position will support our Mesquite and Rockwall locations, and is full‑time Monday‑Friday (8:30 am‑5 pm) with no weekends, calls or major holidays.

LTIP awards are discretionary and based on performance, with a vesting period of three years. What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do?
Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients, adheres to national and company standards, and participates in company‑wide quality initiatives.

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care.

Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.

Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.

Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.

Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.

Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart.

Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.

Assist patients in locating available community resources.

Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Education / Training

Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; RN state license with current registration with the State Board of Nursing.

0-3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.

Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.

Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.

Oncology certification preferred.

Requires full range of motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs, and normal visual and hearing acuity.
