Mental Health Counselor (evenings)

Emergence is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SUD Counselor to work in our Albany, Oregon office to provide encouragement and assistance to help participants in treatment achieve long-term recovery, connect with the local recovery community, and navigate local resources. • Salary non-exempt position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, evenings required

• Substance Use Disorder Counselor Responsibilities

Manages client flow in Albany office with little direct supervision.
Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions.
SUD Counselor Requirements
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I or II (CADC-I or CADC-II)
Application of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services' (SAMHSA) best practice indicators
In-depth knowledge of drug and alcohol testing to monitor treatment plans and medical instructions
Ability to work evenings
SUD Counselor Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Associate degree in chemical dependency counseling, or a bachelor's degree with coursework in chemical dependency
Familiarity with electronic health record systems like Carelogic would be advantageous.
Experience with co-occurring health and mental health disorders
Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired
