Bookkeeper - CPA - PAYROLL

Job Description Bookkeeper – CPA Firm

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm and assist with maintaining and updating financial books and records for multiple clients.

Record and maintain client financial transactions

Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Maintain accurate general ledger records

Process payroll and assist with payroll tax filings

Prepare and file sales tax returns

Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules

Review and organize client financial documentation

Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping requests, missing information, and account questions

Assist clients with accounting software questions and day-to-day bookkeeping support

Support accountants and CPAs during month-end, year-end, and tax preparation processes

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of client financial records

Perform additional administrative and accounting support tasks as needed

Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred

Experience working in a CPA or accounting firm is a plus

Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax filings

Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines

QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop

Payroll processing and payroll tax filings

Sales tax preparation and filing

Bank and credit card reconciliations

Multi-client bookkeeping environments

This position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced CPA firm environment while maintaining excellent client relationships.
