Registered Nurse (RN) - Hematology/Oncology Clinic - Full Time

Texas Oncology is seeking a Regional Float Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! In this role, you’ll provide essential cross-coverage support in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Infusion nursing units, rotating through select clinics throughout the Northeast Texas (NETX)Region . Sites Include: Frisco, Frisco West, Allen, McKinney South, McKinney North, Plano West, Garland, Rowlett, Castle Hills Lewisville, Flower Mound, Denton, Denison, and Greenville

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm
Perks: No weekends, on-call, or major holidays

What does the Travel Float Registered Nurse (RN) do?
The Float Pool RN provides professional nursing care in alignment with national standards, company guidelines, and the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care.

Conducting health assessments, obtaining patient histories, and providing education.

Safely preparing and administering therapies (medications, blood products) in accordance with governing standards.

Monitoring labs, facilitating dose modifications per protocol, and consulting with providers for orders.

Assisting patients in accessing community resources.

Opportunity to cross-train and expand into subspecialty areas (Gyn Onc, BMT, Pediatrics) as the Float Pool role evolves.

Following the Nursing Float Pool Playbook for role- and assignment-specific expectations.

Education/Training

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.

RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.

Minimum 1-3 years nursing experience

Comfort supporting multiple areas of oncology care, with interest in developing skills in subspecialties such as Gyn Onc, BMT, or Pediatrics.

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) or prior oncology/infusion/radiation experience preferred.

Comfort with EHR systems (OncoEMR, Epic, or similar).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred

Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred
