We’re hiring a Talent Specialist to lead recruiting and employee experience at Codaray. Based out of either our Hattiesburg, MS office or our Madison, MS office, this is a hands‑on role that blends full-cycle recruiting with the culture work that supports our team throughout their careers here — sourcing candidates, running phone screens, coordinating onboarding, supporting performance reviews, and planning the events and communications that shape day‑to‑day life at Codaray.
You’ll report directly to our executive team and work closely with hiring managers across project management, estimating, field operations, accounting, and administration. Talent Acquisition & Retention (~60%)
Own full-cycle recruiting for field, office, and leadership roles
Administer our LinkedIn Recruiter account — source passive candidates, manage InMail outreach, and build pipelines for future roles
Draft and post compelling job ads across multiple recruitment platforms
Run initial phone screens, coordinate interview loops, and guide candidates through a clear, respectful hiring process
Build relationships with universities, trade schools, and workforce development programs across our footprint; represent Codaray at career fairs and recruiting events
Partner with hiring managers on role scorecards, interview guides, and structured evaluation criteria
Track recruiting metrics and report on hiring activity to leadership
Culture, Onboarding & HR Operations (~40%)
Lead our onboarding program — including being on-site for new hires’ first day, building day‑one and first‑week agendas, and coordinating cross‑functional introductions
Continuously improve the onboarding experience based on new-hire feedback
Support the annual and mid‑year performance review cycle (timeline management, manager training, template administration) and help managers translate review conversations into development plans
Draft and distribute company‑wide communications — announcements, newsletters, policy updates, and leadership messages — with a consistent voice
Plan and execute company events alongside our marketing team: holiday gatherings, project celebrations, employee appreciation events, and team‑building activities
Support recognition programs and milestone celebrations (work anniversaries, promotions, project wins)
Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies; document and refine HR procedures as we scale into additional states
4+ years of progressive HR or talent acquisition experience
Hands‑on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing platforms
Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience — sourcing through offer
comfortable drafting company‑wide messages and senior‑level correspondence
Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across recruiting and culture work
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred
