MLT - Medical Laboratory

Medical Laboratory TechnicianMedical Laboratory Technician is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting and specimen collection. The MLT provides service in one or more sections of the laboratory with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness and ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Service is provided to patients of all age groups. Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining work area, equipment and instrumentation. 0.7 MLT, Day shiftMonday-Friday only. No weekends and no holidaysWork hours: 0800-1730Minnetonka outpatient labAssociates degree in medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution. Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) board of registry or equivalent professional organization per CLIA standards. Certification must be completed by the first year of employment and kept current according to ASCP standards. License/Certification/Registration required? YesASCP, NCA or equivalent Education: Associate's degree or equivalent required (CLIA '88 regulations) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Requires an associates or equivalent Computer skills Detail oriented Must be highly organized, efficient, and multifunctional Must have good communication skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team
