Job Description Department: UHC: Surgery - ACS Trauma Academy

Job Summary The Research Assistant performs a variety of accurate laboratory and clinical data collection, measurement, entry and retrieval procedures in a research setting involving human and/or small animal subjects, completes forms relevant to research and related equipment. Education and Experience Bachelor Degree required. Minimum two years of academic laboratory experience preferred.

Medical terminology preferred. Working knowledge of statistical, database and graphic applications preferred. speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Essential Mental Abilities: Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; work independently with minimal supervision. hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications Required to complete and maintain Loma Linda University Human Studies Education and satisfactory completion of required IACUC-Animal Care and Use Training Program and Radiation Safety Training (if applicable) within 30 days of hire and through Animal Care Facility; About Us Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
