Part-time Cook

Position: Part-time Cook

Reports To: Executive Chef – Bayfront Convention Center and Kitchen Manager – Erie Insurance Arena

Status: Part-time as needed / Non-Exempt

Facilities: Bayfront Convention Center & Erie Insurance Arena

Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour

He/she must be 18 years or older.

Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations preferred

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, and weekends.

Prepares food as specified by the Executive Chef.

Operates all kitchen equipment safely and correctly.

Tastes and evaluates food before serving to ensure that standards are met; Portions food as specified by the Chefs.

Garnishes food in an appealing manner.

Serves food that is safe to eat. Follows facility and Chefs safe food handling guidelines.

Implements and maintains ECCCA and BCC policies and procedures.

Maintains close communication and works cooperatively with Executive Chef, the rest of the administrative team and co-workers to ensure consistency of services and the highest quality of operation.
