Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac Stepdown unit with an average daily census of 24 and a 4:1 staffing ratio
Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and manage medications through Pyxis
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Float to other units and campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during contract
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – pending licensure not accepted
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or Cardiac Telemetry unit
Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; approval is subject to facility needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
Experience working in a high-acuity progressive care or stepdown environment
Familiarity with Pyxis medication management systems
