The Company is seeking a Head of Credit Risk to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading counterparty credit risk across various financial activities, including derivatives, lending, funding, and deposits. This pivotal role involves setting the risk appetite, approving transactions, and collaborating with trading, lending, and senior leadership. The Head of Credit Risk must have a strong background in financial institutions credit, possess sound risk judgment, and be capable of independently assessing, defending, and communicating credit decisions.
Key responsibilities for the Head of Credit Risk include assessing the creditworthiness of financial institution counterparties, defining and managing credit risk appetite, approving transactions with a focus on documentation, collateral, and risk mitigants, and underwriting lending transactions. The role also requires the monitoring of counterparties and subsectors, presenting risk insights to senior management, and leading and mentoring junior credit professionals. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least 5 years' of experience in counterparty credit risk or related areas, and a strong technical background in financial agreements and risk rating frameworks. Strong judgment, the ability to make independent credit decisions, and leadership skills are essential attributes for this position.
