Otolaryngology Physician (Physician )

Mission of Unit: VCU Health and the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery provides the full range of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery services and recognize everything we do affects patients in a profound way. There is energy and momentum around advancing children's health in Richmond. In 2017 the CHoR Pavilion, a 640,000 square foot, multi-story, high-tech ambulatory facility for pediatric outpatient medical, surgical and radiologic services was opened. This facility includes:

• 72 exam rooms arranged in clinical pods to optimize a multidisciplinary care model.
• Clinical pods composed of 12 exam rooms, 1 treatment room, support space for a centralized clinical team.
• Pediatric faculty offices.
• An attached, 7-story parking deck with more than 600 spaces.

May 2023, we opened the Children's Tower new free-standing, full-service Pediatric Hospital, directly connected to the existing outpatient Pavilion, an entire city block will be dedicated and designed to meet the unique health care needs of children and to provide Richmond the most advanced and coordinated care possible.
We invite candidates to apply for Pediatric Otolaryngologist physician position. The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at (VCU) seeks a BE/BC, fellowship-trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist to join a robust and growing academic practice. Salary and academic appointment will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
This position will provide clinical expertise and care toward surgical treatment of all Otolaryngology anomalies. The physician will support the training and teaching of Otolaryngology residents as well as other students and observers. The physician will strive for excellence and productivity in research discoveries in their clinical area of focus. The Department fosters a level of research and professional activity essential to the GME program (Otolaryngology residency) and to the professional growth of the faculty. Teaching: Faculty member will participate in the teaching of residents, medical students and other students & observers. Research: Faculty member shall establish a reputation of excellence in clinical and/or translational research, with the expectation of publication in refereed journals and potential external funding. Mentoring of residents and students in their research.
Faculty member will serve on departmental, Health System and/or University committees as needed. Service in a professional capacity in their field in such areas of reviewer, external committee member, conference organizer, etc. Board certified/eligible in otolaryngology
