Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in Acute Care (Medical Surgical) settings.
The unit has 44 beds and is staffed with approximately 40 personnel.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts.
The facility uses an electronic medical record system.
General orientation for new staff lasts one week and includes training on the electronic medical record.
Floor-specific orientation will last 2 days.
The registered nurse will be required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
There is a need for floating to all acute care departments as well as to support other units for patient care.
The registered nurse will work closely with Nurse Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants.
The unit monitors telemetry patients and provides comprehensive care for medical-surgical cases.
