We’re a technology company that leads with our humanity—driving our business priorities alongside meaningful social, community, and societal impact.**Join Ciena’s Interconnect Team as a Technical NPI Project Manager!****How You Will Contribute:** As a Technical NPI Project Manager, take charge of planning and managing new product introductions (NPI) from design through ramp-up at partner manufacturing sites. Collaborate with the Nitro Chip NPI Test and Process Team, Nitro Chip R&D, Ciena Prototype Lab, and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to ensure seamless transitions and successful product launches. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables while driving the program’s success.**Lead projects with cross-functional R&D and Operations Engineering teams.* Define project deliverables and schedules with clear milestones in collaboration with cross-functional teams.* Maintain accurate tracking of Operations key deliverables to ensure program success.* Review project plans, communicate changes and risks, and establish contingency plans.* Manage prototype builds in Ciena’s Lab and at contract manufacturers.* Collaborate with the production operations team to ensure a smooth production ramp.**The Must Haves:*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Optical Engineering.* Knowledge of Optical/Electrical assembly and test engineering.* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Project Management.* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.* Nice to Haves:*** Experience with Agile methodologies.**Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
