The Tax Attorney will handle a variety of tax-related legal matters, including advising clients on international tax and business issues, tax planning strategies, and cross-border transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and interpreting tax law, drafting and reviewing legal documents, analyzing complex fact patterns, and developing solutions to minimize tax risk while ensuring compliance. The role involves representing clients in tax controversies, including audits, administrative proceedings, and negotiations with tax authorities. The Tax Attorney will collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide timely, clear guidance and maintain accurate case documentation. This is a full‑time, hybrid role based in San Diego, CA, with a combination of in‑office work and some work‑from‑home flexibility.

Candidates should possess strong Tax Law knowledge, including federal, state, and international Tax regulations.

Candidates should possess solid Law and Tax controversy skills, including legal research, statutory interpretation, and advocacy in administrative or judicial proceedings.

Candidates should possess Tax Planning and Estate Planning skills to design compliant, efficient structures for individuals and businesses.

Candidates should possess experience applying Tax principles to cross-border and international business matters.

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.Prior experience in tax law practice, tax controversy, or related advisory work at a law firm, accounting firm, or in‑house legal department is beneficial.

Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.

High level of professional integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
