In this vital role, the Director, US HCP Marketing – IgG4-RD will lead the US healthcare professional commercial strategy for UPLIZNA (inebilizumab) in IgG4-RD. This leader will shape the treatment paradigm, influence brand positioning, and deliver an integrated commercial strategy that supports a successful launch and sustained market leadership.
Success in this role requires an established commercial leader with deep marketing expertise, demonstrated launch leadership, and the ability to build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams. This role will lead professional marketing across rheumatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, and neurology, along with diagnostic stakeholders such as pathology and radiology.
Lead IgG4-RD HCP Marketing Strategy and Business Performance
Lead the integrated US HCP marketing strategy for UPLIZNA in IgG4-RD, translating launch priorities into clear objectives, indication-specific strategies, and execution plans.
Hold accountability for commercial performance, identifying growth opportunities, emerging risks, competitive dynamics, and actions required to deliver against business objectives.
Shape annual brand planning, long-range planning, quarterly priorities, investment decisions, and performance management for the IgG4-RD indication.
Guide HCP and institutional segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, customer journeys, field engagement, and branded and unbranded promotional strategy.
Lead Cross Functional Brand Leadership and Build a High Performing IgG4-RD Marketing Team
Serve as the US commercial voice within the Global Brand Team and partner with Sales, Medical, Field Medical, Market Access, Patient Services, Analytics and Insights, Regulatory, Legal, Training, Operations, Omnichannel Marketing, Global Marketing, and other critical stakeholders to deliver on commercial goals.
Ensure commercial strategy is integrated with evidence generation, medical education, access, patient support, and field execution; champion a deep understanding of HCPs, diagnostic stakeholders, patients, treatment journeys, and evolving customer needs.
Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing organization; manage agency partners, promotional investments, budgets, and external resources with strong financial stewardship and accountability.
Establish performance-management frameworks that connect strategy, execution, leading indicators, and business outcomes; monitor performance, lead timely course correction, and communicate risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience; Master's degree and 7 years of marketing/commercial experience; Bachelor's degree and 9 years of marketing/commercial experience.
MBA preferred.
Demonstrated success leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology product launches, including launch strategy, commercial performance management, and field readiness.
Experience launching first-in-class therapies or new indications and building markets in areas of high unmet need preferred.
Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams and developing future commercial leaders preferred.
Significant US HCP marketing experience with integrated commercial strategy development.
Experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Experience partnering with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, and Global Marketing.
Strong strategic thinking and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into clear decisions, performance narratives, and impactful commercial plans.
