Lighting Artist (Contract) - REMOTE

Unreal Lighting Artist (Contract)
Evil Eye Pictures is looking for an experienced Unreal Lighting Artist. The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years of professional experience in film, television and/or games, and a thorough understanding of visual effects pipelines.

Create and design lighting for complex scenes in Unreal Engine, owning both the technical and creative problem spaces
Work closely with directors and supervisors to develop cinematic lighting solutions, which capture the vision laid out by the client
Translate 2D concepts into final lighting solutions and renders
Look development of assets, environments, and FX elements
Identify problematic shots and offer creative or technical solutions
Oversee and help optimize shots for rendering

Experience with Unreal Engine lighting techniques and solutions in a production environment
Proven track record with photoreal and full CG lighting for film, television and/or games
Experience with a variety of lighting techniques and tools (GPU Lightmass, Lumen, raytracing, dynamic vs baked lighting, MRG, MRQ, CVars, etc…)
Detail-oriented both in work processes and ability to QC work
Understanding of optimization and performance profiling
Experience in compositing is a plus
Knowledge of an asset manager such as Shotgrid is a plus

Location: This is a remote position supporting our Virtual Studio.
Contract Duration: 6/15- 8/7

Base Pay Range $45-65 per hour.
