As Strategic Marketing Director at NorthSky, you will lead the vision, development, and execution of our comprehensive marketing strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving customer acquisition, strengthening our brand presence, and supporting revenue growth across digital and traditional channels. With a deep understanding of the B2B MRO industry and a sharp eye for opportunity, you will partner closely with executive leadership to define our marketing roadmap in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Your leadership will directly influence NorthSky’s position in the market, enabling scalable demand generation, eCommerce growth, and long-term customer loyalty. You will be responsible for building and guiding a high-performing marketing team while aligning all initiatives with business goals and operational excellence.

Develop and execute a data-driven, integrated marketing strategy aligned with corporate growth goals.

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership on brand, market trends, and customer engagement.

Brand & Messaging

Establish and elevate the NorthSky brand as an industry disruptor in B2B MRO distribution.

Lead brand voice, messaging architecture, and visual identity to ensure consistency across channels.

Oversee the creation of compelling campaigns, content, and digital assets that resonate with target audiences.

Digital & Demand Generation

Drive growth through digital channels including SEO/SEM, email, paid advertising, social media, and retargeting.

Manage and optimize the marketing funnel to improve conversion rates and reduce customer acquisition cost (CAC).

Leverage marketing automation and CRM platforms to execute high-performing campaigns.

Conduct ongoing market research to assess customer needs, competitive dynamics, and pricing strategies.

Translate insights into actionable marketing plans and go-to-market initiatives.

Recruit, develop, and lead a results-driven marketing team.

Manage departmental budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources across brand and performance initiatives.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and operations to align marketing efforts with business execution.

Define key marketing KPIs and provide regular performance reporting to executive leadership.

Continuously test, measure, and iterate on marketing initiatives to maximize ROI and effectiveness.

Website traffic and conversion rates

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of strategic marketing leadership experience in the MRO industry.

Strong B2B marketing background, ideally with industrial distribution or eCommerce experience.

Deep understanding of the MRO buyer journey, procurement behavior, and industrial customer personas.

Demonstrated success in scaling marketing efforts in a high-growth environment.

Expertise in digital marketing, campaign analytics, CRM systems, and automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication with a strategic, creative, and analytical mindset.
